TOTAL GHANA SHOWS LOVE ON VALENTINE’S DAY

TOTAL Petroleum Ghana Ltd. has dedicated the 14th February of every year to support the less privileged in society. As the world celebrates Valentine’s Day, the company sees this as an opportunity to show love to the needy and orphaned.
In line with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and to mark this year’s Valentine’s Day celebration, a team made a donation to the Village of Hope orphanage located at Gomoa Fetteh in the Central Region on behalf of Management and staff.
Several items donated to the orphanage included clothes, bags of rice, cooking oil, wheat, washing and bathing soaps, drinks, biscuits, canned foods, sanitary wear, and many others.
Receiving the items, the Head of the Orphanage Mr. Kweku Sarkodie informed the team that the orphanage was established 24 years ago and has been home to many orphans through the years.
He said presently, four of the children are in the university, fifty-six in Senior High School (Boarding) and seventy-five in the Basic School which is located on their premises. He added that the Basic School is open to the public at a fee. They also have a medical facility that serves the orphanage and several communities within the vicinity.

Speaking on behalf of the children and guardians, he expressed their appreciation and thanked the company for the wonderful gesture. He implored other corporate bodies and individuals to emulate the action taken by TOTAL Ghana in lending a helping hand towards the care of the vulnerable in society.
