TOTALENERGIES GHANA AFCON TROPHY TOUR CREATES EXCITEMENT IN GHANA

In anticipation of the upcoming TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations competition in Cote d’Ivoire next year, the title sponsor, TotalEnergies orchestrated a vibrant trophy tour in Ghana on the 27th and 28th of November. The event unfolded in grand style, featuring cultural showcases and esteemed dignitaries, including the French Ambassador to Ghana, Jules-Armand Aniambossou, representatives from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and board members and shareholders of TotalEnergies Marketing PLC Ghana. The brand ambassador to TotalEnergies GH was also present. The Trophy was unveiled by Mr. Rexford Adomako, a board member of TotalEnergies Ghana

The representative from the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Director for Finance and Administration, Dr Eric Mensah Bonsu addressed the gathering, emphasizing the significance of the AFCON tournament in fostering unity and sportsmanship. The French Ambassador, Jules-Armand Aniambossou, also delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the cultural exchange and collaboration between France and Ghana through football.

The Sales Marketing Manager, Mr. Hussein Nsour eloquently conveyed a message on behalf of the Managing Director, Mr. Olufemi Babajide, expressing gratitude for the support and enthusiasm of the Ghanaian community towards the tournament.

The climax of the event unfolded on the second day as the trophy tour traversed various parts of Accra. Cultural displays captivated onlookers, and the presence of football icon Stephen Appiah and dance influencer, Champion Rolie, added to the excitement. Notably, the tour extended its reach to three service stations, as well as 2 university campuses: the University of Ghana, and the University of Professional Studies. This inclusion of students ensured a wider audience, allowing them to partake in the festivities and capture memorable moments with Stephen Appiah and the coveted AFCON trophy.

The AFCON trophy tour not only created a buzz but also fostered a sense of community engagement and national pride. As Ghana eagerly awaits the AFCON competition, the tour served as a spirited prelude, uniting people through the shared passion for football and celebration of their cultural heritage.
